Hello, my name is Chris. I have a male iguana named Sam that is around 4-5 years old. My wife rescued him from our neighbors across the street because they didn't understand the full responsibility that is involved with caring for a reptile. They were feeding him lettuce, and as a result he became very malnourished and almost died. The Herpetologist we took him too gave him a 5% chance of survival, but was amazed that he does not have salmonella. Well, my wife, who has had her share of reptiles, including a huge reticulated python, nursed Sam back to health on the Melissa Kaplin diet and good old TLC. We really love Sam, but we have a full plate with our 3 dogs, one of which is an English mastiff, and a cat. So we aren't able to give Sam the attention he deserves, or allow him to roam the house like he needs to. I did build him a decent sized enclosure about 2 years ago, but he is getting a little big for it. Sam is about 3-4lbs in weight and close to 3ft in length I would estimate. He is a little wild because we haven't been able to handle him enough, but any experienced reptile owner should be able to handle him. So he is free, with his enclosure, to a good home. We would definitely want to talk to you before we let him go. My wife would probably interview you very thoroughly, but that is because she has invested so much time and care into his revival. So, if you are interested, and seriously feel like you can give Sam a good home, please contact me at chrisfulton23@att.net or reply to this post. The enclosure is also included. Thanks and have a nice day. Attachments:
