Surely more than just me and mike going herping in Houston! We're kind of getting tired of going to the same spot everyday, although we're always guaranteed to catch numerous snakes there. Does anyone know any good places to go herping in or around Houston??

Why not spend a couple bucks and head off to one of the fine state parks that Texas Parks and Wildlife has to offer.
Look at Brazos Bend State Park. Around 5,000 acres of prime herping acreage. Kinda hard to beat for $4/head.
Obviously your not going to be able to keep any animals you keep there.
You might want to check with a Game Warden. I was told several years ago that if went herping(Outside of a State Park) and wanted to keep any of the animals I caught, that I needed to have a Valid Texas Hunting license. Just food for thought. And Game Wardens show NO MERCY!
