We have received notice that there will be a public hearing regarding H.B. 1309. The meeting will be held at 8:00am TOMORROW in Room E1.012 in the Senate section of the Capitol. This Bill is now in the hands of the Natural Resources Committee, chaired by Kip Averitt.
The Senate is only required to give 24 hours notice of its public hearing. This may be the only chance we have to let them know our feelings against this Bill.
If any of you can attend, it would be greatly appreciated.
For those of you who cannot attend, please email the Senators in your district. You will need to include your name, city and zip code. This needs to be done today or tonight at the latest. The attachment lists all of the Senators of Texas. Those noted with ** are on the Natural Resources Committee. If you are not sure who your Senator is, the information in the enclosed attachment will show you how to find out.
