The yellow-bellied water snake finally shed a few weeks ago (with a lot of help from me) and turned out to be a blotched water snake (kissing cousin of the yellow bellied watesnake) once I could see the patterns. It is eating goldfish like a big pig. I am very excited to say it will get released this spring break week.
