I do native Texas turtle rescue and currently have in rescue:
4 red eared sliders (5-8 inches) hit by cars, one unwanter winter pet red eared slider, and one "I thought it was a box turles and why won't it eat for three months crawling along the floor in my house" 12 inch cooter water turtle (who is now eating in water...sigh...)
I have four ornate box turtles and 17 three toed box turtles...five in pretty bad shape...doing fine now but unreleasable due to hit by cars, mauled by dogs, or malnutrition resculting in bad cases of MBD.
One the pet rescue side (and housed in their own different cages, of course!), I have:
a 8 inch female redfoot - I am keeping her,
2 sulcatas (one I am babysitting and the other, a male MBD case that is 12 inches and will be adopted out in the spring)
2 greek tortoises, one small golden male and the other a larger female
4 russian tortoises...
I think that is all....

I have a red ear slider that my wife got the kids about a year and a half ago. It's getting pretty big and I don't have any more room to expand it's tank. Is there anyone who would be interested in adopting "Fred". He's a pretty good turtle and I hate to see him go, but at the same time I hate to see him get bigger in a small aquarium.
