The Fear of Snakes! For some it is instilled as young people growing up that all snakes are bad by people who surround us during the adolescent years. For others it is just comes natural. It is human & Animal nature to "FEAR" What they do not understand, The unknowns of certain things or events which Brings about an uncomfortable feeling or Fear. I myself refuse to understand Tarantulas/spiders LOL! Don't get me wrong they are an intriguing species while i can view them in a contained enclosure, But out side of that containment I become arachnophobic! Peace Out! ~Randall

I was bitten on the back of my neck by a moccasin floating the comal river when I was 14. I was on my tube and felt a severe burning sensation on the back of my neck. As I turned my head to see what had happend I turned to see a moccasin staring me right in the eyes on the back of my tube. Thankfully there was an ambulance parked infront of schlitterban less than 40 feet from where I was bitten. They took me away pretty quickly, and I was back on my feet in a few days. There were others in the water and NO ONE said they saw the snake untill I screamed like a little girl that I had just been bitten by a cottonmouth.
With that happening I have to admit that for quite some time I was terrified of snakes, But as I got older I became extremly facinated with them. I dont fear snakes any longer, with the exception of hot snakes, but even those I will go near, I just wont hold them. I wouldnt say I fear hot snakes, just respect them.
